Today marks another step in advancing agroecology in Fako Division. Some farmers received subsidised livestock—pigs, local birds, goats—to strengthen farming and livelihoods.
This goes beyond animal rearing. It creates a cycle of sustainability: using droppings for organic fertiliser and manure, enriching soil naturally, increasing yields, and reducing harmful chemicals. Farmers can also sell livestock and products, boosting resilience and income.
Thanks to Misereor for support, His Lordship Michael Bibi for encouragement, and CARITAS Director Pierre Ernest Tchinda and team for their commitment.
Together, we nurture farms, hope, dignity, and a greener future for Fako
